Hermitically sealed

A new two-bedroom holiday eco-cabin has opened in a secluded valley in the South Shropshire Hills. The solar-powered self-catering hideaway is in the Clun Environmentally Sensitive Area, 15 miles from Ludlow at the foot of the Black Hill. For complete isolation you can arrange to have your food delivered from a variety of small-scale food producers that sell at local outlets and farmers' markets.

Free transfers are provided from Hopton Heath train station and bikes are available to hire for exploring Hopton Castle and Black Hill forest tracks. Until the end of October, Shropshire Hills Shuttles run a weekend bus service to the ancient Long Mynd walking network and The Stiperstones Nature Reserve. From £400 per week or £85 a night (minimum two nights) for four plus optional £5 food collection charge.
